【番外編】2027年4月1日から：永住申請は最長在留カード必須😅

🔹 変更のポイント
来年春から、重要な変更があります。
これまでは、在留期間3年の在留カードでも最長期間として扱われ、永住申請が可能でした。
2027年4月1日以降は、原則として5年の在留カードを持っていない場合、永住申請ができなくなります。
🔹 永住申請の審査と基本要件
永住申請は、原則として「素行善良・独立生計・国益要件」の3つの要件に基づき審査されます。
さらに、申請者は在留資格および在留期間に関する一般的な要件を満たす必要があります：
• 日本に原則10年以上在留していること。
• そのうち、原則として5年間は就労資格または居住資格で在留していること。
🔹 これまでの扱い
• 在留期間3年の在留カードも最長期間として扱われていました。
• 根拠：永住許可申請ガイドライン（令和8年2月改訂）、永住許可申請の手引き（法務省PDF）。
🔹 2027年4月1日以降のルール
• 「3年の在留カードを最長として扱う」ルールは廃止されます。
• 永住申請では、原則として5年の在留カードを保有する必要があります。
• 永住申請を予定している方は、早めに在留カードの確認をすることをお勧めします。

🔹 Key Change
From next spring, a significant change will take effect.
Until now, 3-year residence card could be treated as the longest period, making it possible to apply for permanent residency.
From April 1, 2027, applicants generally cannot apply for permanent residency without 5-year residence card.
🔹 Permanent Residency: Review Process and Basic Requirements
Permanent Residence (PR) applications in Japan are assessed based on three main criteria: good conduct, financial stability, and contribution to Japan.
Applicants must also meet the general residence and status requirements:
• Generally, 10 years of continuous residence in Japan.
• Generally, 5 of those years must be spent under a work or residence status.
🔹 Previous Handling
• 3-year residence cards were treated as the longest period.

🔹 Rules from April 1, 2027
• The “3-year card as maximum” rule is abolished.
• For permanent residency applications, applicants generally need to hold 5-year residence card.
