【重要】📣2026年10月1日から、外国人の在留手続の手数料が改定されます

以前のブログでもご案内しましたが、2026年10月1日から在留手続きの手数料が改定されます。今回は改定のポイントを簡単にまとめました。💡
出入国管理及び難民認定法施行令等の改正に伴い、2026年10月1日から、以下の在留許可に係る手数料が改定されます。
・在留資格変更許可
・在留期間更新許可
・永住許可
今回の改定では、在留資格変更許可および在留期間更新許可について、許可に係る「在留期間の区分」に応じて手数料の額が定められます。
ここで特に注意したいのが、申請の受付日です。⚠️
2026年9月30日までに申請が受け付けられた場合は、たとえ許可が2026年10月1日以降になったとしても、改定前の手数料が適用されます。
一方、2026年10月1日以降に申請を行い、在留資格の変更、在留期間の更新、または永住許可を受ける場合は、改定後の手数料を納付することになります。
また、経済的困難その他特別な理由がある場合には、一定の要件を満たすことで、手数料の減額または免除の対象となる場合があります。💡

【Important】📣 Fees for Residence Procedures for Foreign Nationals to Be Revised from October 1, 2026

As we mentioned in our previous blog, fees for residence procedures in Japan will be revised from October 1, 2026. Here is a brief summary of the key points.💡
Due to amendments to the Immigration Control and Refugee-Recognition Act Enforcement Order, fees will be revised for:
・Change of status of residence
・Extension of period of stay
・Permanent residence permission
For applications for a change of status of residence or an extension of period of stay, the fee will be determined according to the applicable period of stay.
One important point is the application date.⚠️ If an application is accepted by September 30, 2026, the current fee will apply, even if the permission is granted on or after October 1, 2026.
In addition, fee reductions or exemptions may be available for applicants experiencing financial difficulties or other special circumstances, subject to certain requirements.💡
